Kendra Forde started her career as a police officer (ports) in St. Lucia, where she won Best Recruit in 1999. After five years with the police department, she pursued a double major in Psychology and Sociology at the University of the West Indies in Barbados. The focus of her thesis was bullying and harassment. She completed her studies with first class honours and wanted to explore a field that enhanced the working environment. She pursued her master’s degree in occupational health psychology at the University of Nottingham and completed it with distinction. Kendra also pursued a diploma in health and safety at SFU because there were not many opportunities to focus on psychological wellbeing. She was able to practice key psychological principles in managing claims.
