Jessica Rozo started her HSE career with Green Infrastructure Partners (GIP) as a coop student in August 2022 as part of her internship/co-op program in the Occupational Health and Safety Management program through Lambton College. She comes from a background in human resources management and environmental law with a bachelor’s degree. Her first assignments were administrative prior to leading her assignment to the field. The fundamentals she brought with her contributed to the successful implementation of GIP’s health and safety management system by organizing the training and onboarding HSE programs at GIP.
Rozo sets herself apart by performing above and beyond expectations for a co-op student. After her graduation in 2023, she was hired full time as a health, safety, and environmental coordinator as part of GIP’s HSE team. With an impressive drive to better herself and her skills, she has completed over 50 health and safety training courses since joining the company.
Dedicated to continuing her education, professional development, and training, Rozo has ambitions: becoming certified as a National Construction Safety Officer and proceeding with certification from the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals once she qualifies. GIP excels in its safety targets and objectives in no small part due to her passion for her role. In a short time, Rozo has already set herself apart from the crowd, and her flourishing skillset is a great asset to the organization today and into the future.
