Catherine Bennett is the HSQA manager, systems and policy at Compass Group Canada and has been a dedicated member of the organization for over five years. She holds a degree in kinesiology from the University of Calgary and a diploma of technology in occupational health and safety from BCIT. After beginning her career in a clinical setting, she transitioned into injury prevention, where she has continued to drive meaningful safety improvements.
Bennett joined Compass as a health and safety coordinator, overseeing sites across Northern Vancouver Island before moving to the HSQA Programs team. In that role, she led the development of the Ergonomic Solutions Manual and audit program and supported the Warehousing and Distribution business through the creation of the Racking and Storage Program, strengthening risk identification and control.
In her current position, Bennett oversees health and safety systems and program development, leveraging technology and system optimization to improve safety processes for operations. Her work focuses on simplifying compliance, improving access to accurate information, and enabling teams to integrate safety more seamlessly into day-to-day work. Through her systems-driven approach, Bennett continues to advance Compass’s safety culture and operational excellence.

A significant part of his focus today is staying ahead of regulatory change while maintaining a seamless client experience. He tracks updates from regulators and lenders closely and works with his teams to adjust systems as needed.
“My approach to my role and my career has always been rooted in passion, focus, and a relentless pursuit of excellence,” he says. “I’ve never been driven solely by profit or business metrics. I believe in hiring great talent, trusting them, and pushing boundaries because innovation doesn’t come from playing it safe.”
