Nicole Orr is the chief operating officer at National Safety Services, bringing 24 years of experience as a health and safety professional. Throughout her career, she has been sought after by organizations of all sizes across Western Canada to conduct internal workplace investigations, (including those involving harassment, serious incidents, and fatalities), OHS system assessments and regulatory compliance analysis. In addition to her work at National Safety Services, Orr is a sessional instructor at the University of Alberta’s Occupational Health and Safety program and frequently speaks at safety and leadership conferences nationwide.
Orr has also authored several workplace training programs, including a recent online course on workplace harassment, and she serves as the chair of the Practice Review Committee for the Alberta Society of Safety Professionals. She also holds the Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation.
A passionate advocate for collaboration in the health and safety industry, Orr believes experienced practitioners have a responsibility to mentor and support the next generation of professionals. Her approach is results-driven, focused on helping organizations develop thriving health and safety cultures through expert guidance. Her work ethic is defined by her passion, innovation, and meticulous attention to detail.
