Jody Young is the president and CEO of Workplace Safety & Prevention Services (WSPS), bringing over 30 years of experience in health and safety across both the public and private sectors. Most recently, she served as assistant deputy minister in the employment and training division of the Ontario Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development. In this capacity, she provided strategic direction for the transformation of employment services in Ontario.
Prior to this, Young was assistant deputy minister for fair, safe, and healthy workplaces in both Ontario and Alberta. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a strong ability to lead large teams, manage transfer payment arrangements, and drive organizational change. Known for her participative and inclusive leadership style, she combines a deep sectoral understanding with strong technical expertise.
A Canadian Registered Safety Professional, Young holds an Honours Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto and is a Certified Executive Coach through Royal Roads University.
