“I would have to say my biggest achievement is getting that call from a customer I have worked with being told that a product I put into place saved a person’s life. This has happened three times in my career and just knowing those people are going home to their family means the world to me.”
Paula Cabral,
Corporate Business Development and Execution Manager – Safety Products
Weber Supply
Paula Cabral is a business development and execution manager of safety products at Weber Supply.
It’s a role that she holds dear for personal reasons. “My plan for this career evolved after a family member passed away because of a workplace injury,” she says. “This event piqued my curiosity into the well being of workers and it led me to a path of selling PPE to protect workers and ensure they make it home safe to their families.

She is passionate about her career and leverages her 18 years in the industry to bring a positive approach to helping adapt products to certain situations.
Cabral enjoys spending time in the field. Being able to be at a food manufacturer in the morning and a construction site in the afternoon makes her job interesting. And as a woman, there are more challenges than simply doing a good job. To be seen as equal to male counterparts, Cabral has learned to adapt to each new situation and exude a tough, not-afraid type of personality that is respected in the field.
“My tenacious personality and strong voice are qualities that make me a strong memorable safety professional,” she says. “I have always and will continue to strive for the day that workplace injuries will not happen.”
She takes great pride in establishing lasting relationships with her end users as well as her colleagues in the industry. She doesn’t take her opportunities for granted and is determined to pay her good luck forward.
“When I first got into this industry, I had a very strong female to look up to and lean on,” she says. “Her career-oriented mind set and the presence she had in this male dominated industry is what has challenged me to help mentor other females in their safety roles and to encourage and uplift women to strive in their careers.”
