Patricia Kriz is the Director of Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance at P&H Milling Group. She is responsible for the development and implementation of a first-class health and safety program for nine mills across Canada.
Her safety career began after being asked to join a health and safety committee for a manufacturing company. At the time she held the role of a lead hand but was unaware of the responsibilities she held under the health and safety legislation. After attending a committee certification course, she quickly developed a passion for workplace safety. Soon after, she obtained her Occupational Health and Safety Certificate and became the Health and Safety Specialist for the company..
In 2010, Kriz moved to the world of H&S consulting and shared her passion for health and safety through education. She obtained her CRSP and CHSC designations and assisted a variety of companies with the development of their health and safety management systems. Nine years later, she joined P&H Milling Group.
Employee health and safety has always been a company value, and now it has become a regular topic of conversation at P&H Milling. Kriz continues to influence the company’s safety culture and young women in safety through mentorship, collaboration and respect.
