Chad Ralph brings over 18 years of experience in the construction industry, with the last 12 years dedicated to health, safety, and environmental (EHS) management across diverse sectors including nuclear, renewable energy, and oil & gas. His multidisciplinary background enables him to lead with a comprehensive and adaptable approach to EHS strategy and execution. As Central & West Regional EHS Manager, Chad oversees a broad geographical territory spanning from Manitoba to British Columbia and into the territories. He provides strategic guidance and operational support to EHS Coordinators and project teams, ensuring the highest safety standards across varied construction and industrial sites. Chad is recognized for his ability to foster safety culture, engage frontline teams, and drive continuous improvement. A skilled communicator and former high school teacher, he brings years of instructional experience and public speaking expertise to his role. His engaging style and clarity in presenting complex topics have earned him consistently positive feedback and strengthened his impact as an educator and leader in the EHS space.

Agnes Wietrzynski is an authentic business leader who has been elevating the environmental industry to new levels for the last 13 years. As a former refugee and immigrant to Canada, she comes from very humble beginnings and has worked tirelessly for her achievements. While working in the industry, she completed her MBA at Queen’s University and was also recognized with the Creativity and Innovation Award. As an accomplished business leader with an entrepreneurial sense, she has overseen business operations, major infrastructure projects, emergency response, industrial services, and business development. With a grassroots approach to business, she has adapted strategies to meet changing industry circumstances. Wietrzynski has driven and navigated through accelerated growth of companies and has led integration following M&A activity. She was recognized in 2022 by Onsite Magazine as one of the Top 40 under 40 in Construction in Canada.

With over 13 years of industry experience, Joel Weerdenburg is an accomplished professional with extensive knowledge in hazardous material abatement, demolition/decommissioning, and remediation. His dedication and commitment to projects over the years have allowed him to work his way up to his current position. Throughout his tenure as an estimator and project manager, he has successfully led many large projects around the nation. This includes projects within the landfilling, oil and gas, mining, heavy industrial, commercial, and residential industries. His educational credentials include an honours diploma in construction engineering from Mohawk College, Ontario, and additional physics, mathematics, transportation engineering, and risk management courses. Over the years, Weerdenburg has maintained a commitment to furthering his knowledge base. As a result, he currently holds designations as a Project Management Professional (PMP), National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) and Certified Technician in the Civil Discipline (C.Tech) and is also Construction Estimator Certified (CEC).

With over 18 years of experience in the industry, Chris Yaremko brings extensive knowledge of demolition, hazardous materials abatement, remediation, and reclamation. He graduated from the Northern Institute of Technology in Biological Sciences – Renewable Resource Management Technology and has a degree in environmental science from the University of Lethbridge. Yaremko’s vast project experience across Western Canada includes large- and small-scale demolition projects, extensive mine site remediation and reclamation, roadway and utility corridor development, large and small excavation projects, fueling station upgrades and decommissioning, pipeline and facility construction and decommissioning, and storm pond and landfill construction.

He is responsible for various groups delivering complex, large, and sensitive projects across Canada in marine, civil, climate resiliency, specialty construction, and environmental technologies. He has been with QM for over 11 years and has worked on projects from coast to coast, including some of Canada’s largest environmental projects such as the Sydney Tar Ponds, Port Lands, Port Hope, Rock Bay, and Esquimalt Harbour portfolios.

He specializes in environmental emergency response and hazardous waste management, having successfully managed thousands of incidents across Canada, including pipeline releases, train derailments, natural disasters, and support for law enforcement and military operations. Barton manages a team of skilled professionals who develop effective solutions for both planned and emergent customer needs in field and facility applications. Additionally, as chairman of the Canadian Emergency Response Contractors Alliance (CERCA), he collaborates closely with regulators and industry stakeholders to enhance environmental emergency response services nationwide.

QM Environmental canvasses employee concerns and suggestions on safety culture, allowing them to communicate directly with supervisors in daily toolbox talks, confidential employee engagement surveys, or with their local Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committees/Representatives (JHSC).
Potential solutions and actionable plans based on this feedback are discussed and implemented either at the site level or communicated through JHSC recommendations.
There is also a strong corporate commitment to engage Indigenous Peoples on all projects undertaken, which has led to more than 10 partnerships with Indigenous groups throughout Canada.
